TRADITIONAL CRAFT

MANUFACTURING THE FUTURE

To create this collection we travel to the Pacific coast of Ecuador. Sosote, a town where mud works as an ancestral building technique, there was our location to inspire this collection. The material with which we would design this collection is the ‘tagua’. The challenge was to change the esthetics of the seed and take it to the limit of even eliminating its glow, changing its texture and reinventing its shape. Bringing to life this collection of contemporary TERRA jewels inspired by the tones, colors and textures of the mud. Conformed by 12 designs of very refined and minimalist treatment, including techniques of digital fabrication as a technological base in fusion with the fine art work of the artisan’s hand.
